Lost Distillery Stratheden Blended Malt Vintage Whisky 70 Cl / This whisky has the classic Lowland Scotch characteristics of malted chocolate, orange zest, pipe tobacco and salty pretzels. It's very soft and creamy with not much spice or heat, and a quick, drying finish. Also known as Auchtermuchty towards the end of the 19th century, Stratheden was owned by the Bonthrone family from 1829, before closing in 1926. Distillery founder Alexander Bonthrone reputedly distilled until his death in 1890, making him the oldest Distiller in Scotland. To craft Stratheden Vintage Blended Malt the Master Archivist and whisky making team pieced together the distinctively smooth flavor profile of Stratheden.
